Summer Breeze

Some days it’s ok to relax more with making the bed, right? 😀  Doesn’t always have to be nice and tight .. aaand now I’m out of excuses being lazy at times 😉 Let’s say that I haven’t documented what’s under the bedspread.. which is true!!!

So, I needed to get new a duvet cover set. My old one’s material turned out be horrible.. I couldn’t find the wash label to see what the material is so that I can avoid it forever :D. They are really soft but when sleeping in them, whenever you turn around it almost hangs you in it.  Very saggy and it didn’t stay at its place at all. I mean it would roll the duvet inside out to one big ball.. I even sowed the duvet cover to make it a little smaller trying to get the sagging away. But it didn’t work. Anyways, these new ones I spotted browsing at Ikea. Link HERE. I felt like getting a little “sea breeze feeling” when going to bed. And to me these gave me that feeling. These one’s material is 100 % lyocell which feels very soft and so far it has kept the duvet at its place.. Although I noticed that they get wrinkly way too easy to my taste. But let’s see how we get along in long term!

Toodles!

Upstairs

My Monday morning started with staring contest with a bear.. (picture HERE) .. that made a helluva start for the week!!!! Let’s see if I’m still in one piece the end of the week! x) …. I hope you had much more peaceful start for your day 🙂 I’m finally starting to feel like a normal person again after the terrible fever week that I had.. even after the sick week it took another week to fully gather my strength. But now I feel normal enough to start dealing with the house stuff x)

I’ve felt really stuck with this area… I don’t know why it’s been so hard to figure out!!! ..  and I still haven’t, a little progress now but not all done. I hate that feeling when I want things to get done like right now, but I don’t now where to go with it 😀 It’s very frustrating!!!! Now I got my head around getting some picture frames and putting them onto the stairway wall. I just have no idea what to put in those frames 😀 I do know that I want it to be a “personal wall”.. and I mean I want them to be our own pictures, not necessarily our faces in them, but our own photos from our vacations or so. Now I have to start going through our pictures and make some decisions 🙂 Luckily this is not that serious, but I would LOVE to get it done without too much hassle.

Another thing I’m hoping to accomplish in this area is to find something to put in that niche above the stairs!!!! (Any suggestions ??) And I want to replace our washer and dryer’s original door (on the right) with a sliding door to make more room and laundry days more easier to deal with. Now there’s a “normal” closet door that opens and blocks the hallway making the laundry days very annoying. I’m even hoping to get the door done first 🙂 But will see… I’ll keep you posted! 🙂

Have a Great Monday!

Disneyland

Of course we had to go to Disneyland!;) My last visit there was so many years ago that we had to go back, no matter what 😀 However we did realize how many things we missed the first time. So it was pretty much a new experience all over again! I remember last time when we were there, it was around July or August and it was boiling hot. Now the weather was still hot but nothing like it was the first time. It was way more enjoyable to be on your feet the whole day! Here’s a few random pictures of that day!

Breathtaking Malibu

My “not feeling so great” turned out to be the worst fever-flu bug ever!!!!! I’ve been in bed for the whole week! I never get sick, like EVER.. and if I start feeling that a flu or what ever is coming up –  I’m able to bounce back very quickly. This time, the whole “being sick” thing got to another level. I’m still feeling very weak.. I can’t sit for very long, my appetite is non existent, and I’m too tired even to speak. Oh man. Can’t wait this to be all over!

In our L.A. trip we drove around in Malibu one day. This was my first time in Malibu and what a breathtaking place it is. So beautiful and peaceful, just the way I like it. 😉 Those mountain roads gave me a heart attack or two but other than that I was mesmerized.
