The Last Day Of Summer

posted in: Fall, Life, Outdoors | 4

We soaked up the last day of summer by hiking on Sunday. We went back to Chilliwack to hike some more, and with a little research we decided to do the Cheam Mountain!

Where we parked our car, the elevation was already 1.4km! The road to drive up there was pretty challenging, even though weโ€™d read beforehand that it was going to be tough. But I had no idea that it was going to be insane!ย  (When driving it back down, we lost one tire) ๐Ÿ˜€ The road was crazy, scary and bumpy, going on a cliff side, like Iโ€™ve never seen before! I donโ€™t know how we, or everyone else got up there with their cars. When we got up to the parking lot, I was so surprised to see how busy that place was, the parking lot was packed!

The hiking trail itself was nice and easy to go up and down.. but because of the thin air up there, it made it pretty hard to go forward. The closer we got to the top, the harder it felt to get up there!

But we finally made it! The elevation on the top was 2.1km. So exhausted, excited (and freaked out, at least me) to look around ๐Ÿ˜€

We always joke around how she must be having her own secret National Geographic blog or article coming out every other month about her hikes ๐Ÿ˜€

Hahaha ๐Ÿ˜€ It looks more extreme than it is, trust me! Or Iโ€™m just so used to it by now :D. But you would do just fine ๐Ÿ˜‰ We live on the coast, so itโ€™s not that cold during the winter. -2 or so .. Lots of rain, and if we are lucky maybe a period of 2 weeks of snow. But further north, itโ€™s a whole different story. ๐Ÿ˜€
