Home sweet home.. and it’s been like this for a couple days now. A wonderrful vacation behind with lots of lovely and unforgettable memories 🙂 I feel so blessed and so grateful to been able to travel and see incredible places. Every time I learn something new, either it’s the place and the people that I meet or something new about myself. I’ll get back to our vacation later on but I’m just amazed how many beautiful places there are. And it’s ours to ENJOY and not to destroy!

The first thing I needed to do to help myself with the homecoming blues was to get some spring branches! I was so happy that I still got some quince branches while I knew I was a little late on that. But I decided not to get them before our take off and fingers crossed hope to get a couple of them when returning and I did! 🙂 yay! This weekend I’ll start doing minimal Ester decor.  But I do wanna plan a nice Easter table setting! As you know setting the table is one of my favourite things to do!:)

It’s always hard to leave her behind while we go to trips where we can’t take her. She loves her caretaker, and has so much fun when we are away but it’s like a mandatory requirement to give us a point that it’s not cool to leave her behind when we come back 😀  The first couple of days she gives us a cold shoulder but now we are on good terms 😀

Coffee Table Book

Taking old coffee table books to the next level! 😀 I saw this idea on Pinterest and I had to give it a try! No glue, or permanent folding needed, just a hard cover coffee table book that you have that can stay firmly open on a table when opened.  Gently fold one page at the time – they stay like that on their own and you can fold as many pages you like. I have this old Marilyn Monroe coffee table book that I wanted to try this idea with and obviously bigger the book – bigger the result. Our coffee table is pretty narrow which limits how to place a book like this.  But I kept trying to see it from different angles. (In case you are wondering why it’s this or that way in every other picture 😀 )

If you have old hard cover love poem books for example, I think doing this would be a wonderful idea as a little Valentine’s Day decor!

Morning Candles

Good morning!

How is your week going so far? It’s all good here and this week has been going very smoothly 🙂 I’ve been burning candles like crazy this week, especially in the mornings. I love burning candles in early mornings but I gotta admit that I have a hidden agenda burning them so frequently…  I’ve been hoarding candles all year from different sales and they take so much room in my cabinets 😀 So I’ve been really going for it, but enjoying it at the same time 🙂

I had to “hide” my DIY crochet throw and put my old throw in use for a while since it’s been rainy and muddy weather here and our dog ends up hanging out on the sofa. There’s no way I could wash that crotchet throw by myself. Too big and way too heavy and I would probably never get it dry 😀 . I would need to take it to dry cleaner or something. But this one is super easy to keep clean.

I also started playing with different pillow arrangements and this one stuck. It’s funny – I don’t change my pillow arrangements weekly, monthly or like never really :D. haha no. I do but not as often you would think. 🙂

Planning

I hope you had another great weekend and you feel energized and recharged for the new week! I’m surprised how I’ve started to feel that I can’t wait it to be Monday again 😀 Our weekends have become more hectic over the years and I’ve started to enjoy weekday routines more than the full weekends 😀 But at same time I’m very happy that I can finally “relax” and be in the weekly flow without feeling obnoxious or waiting it to be over. It’s nice to be able to enjoy everyday as it comes. Of course some days are easier than others but I’m happy to be generally happy in my weekly routine. That hasn’t been always the case 🙂 Anyways, here’s a couple of pictures of our morning.
