Good morning!  Or I should probably say early afternoon. Last night I was working till 11pm so I had my alarm set for today to make sure I don’t sleep in. So I woke up 15min before my alarm was suppose to wake me. I was planning to get up and I took the alarm off but then decided to snooze 5 more minutes.. well I woke up one and half hours later 😀 And I could have gone probably one more hour. Hehe ..  But I like to get up early even those days when I don’t have anything planned. I find myself most productive in the mornings. And I don’t think there’s anything more inspiring than racing the early morning sun outdoors. Actually I haven’t been able to do my morning walks lately because we have 3 cougars in the area. I know that I would probably be OK if I see one.. but most likely they would be after my dog. Better safe than sorry. But anyways, mornings are my favourite part of the day. And I always plan to have plenty of time in the mornings. For example if I have somewhere to go I will get up 3 hours before that so I can do my things without rushing and I don’t want to lose my peace first thing in the morning.

I would love to hear about your morning routine!

Hey, here’s how I store those ombre hearts. I took one old carton box apart and wrapped the hearts around the carton sheets. I put a little piece of tape between each heart so that they don’t tangle. Otherwise it would be impossible to keep them nice and neat and actually be able to use them again.

Alright. Now that I couldn’t get myself out of bed today I have a schedule to catch up. Wishing you a lovely weekend!

Why is it that some things like the most simplest things might take YEARS to get done?? In this case I’m talking about my little office table. Actually we have two office spaces in this house. One that I never show to you guys is on our basement level. And I don’t show it because there’s always something going on and it’s also a little storage room too… Nothing to be seen really. But remember when I had this nice little office set up in our guest room couple years back? Well I stole my then office table to downstairs for our living room where my white lanterns are and it’s been there ever since. After that my little work space nook has been where ever. And that computer has been in my wardrobe in our master bedroom. Yup! I’ve been using it from there. 😀 Anyways, two weeks ago I had enough. I just couldn’t bare it anymore of not having a functional computer table! Also I wanted to organize our closets and not having my computer there anymore – it does not belong in there 😀

So I searched Ikea for a functional little table. Not too big since the space is limited but it could not be too small either. I didn’t even go to Ikea to see the table so I googled it and also checked Pinterest to see if anyone else was using this table for this particular computer and if it would fit there and I found a few pics! Enough for me. Hubby picked the table after work and I put it together. The cabinet that I had here before is in the guest room closet right now. I didn’t want to lose my storage so I measured if it would fit in there and luckily it did. I just screwed the cabinet doors out to leave it open and that way it’s easy access to the shelves and it worked!

Now I feel like a load of bricks have been lifted off my shoulders. You have no idea how much this has been bothering me. But when I finally took the bull by the horns it wasn’t too big of a deal to get it done after all. So I’m asking – why is it so hard to get the simplest things done. All I did was that I got a table that was desperately needed.

Enjoy your weekend!

Hi there! How was your week? Do you have any exciting or relaxing weekend plans? I’m one of those to whom chilling at home the whole weekend plan sounds very exciting 😀 I had a busy week, nothing crazy though. Pretty quiet actually comparing to our crazy busy weeks but for whatever reason I felt like I had many things to do. And I was racing the clock at times. Today was so lovely to start my day slowly. I slept as long as I could. And it was so nice to wake up to a clean home. I made breakfast and listened my favourite – Enjoying Everyday Life broadcast. After all that I had such a fun 3 hour phone conversation with my friend. I needed that and it gave me extra energy boost for today. After my friend and I had cured the world I made lunch from yesterday’s leftovers. Then the post man ringed our doorbell. He needed a signature for delivering a package… And I didn’t realize until after he was gone that I had my whole lunch menu all over my teeth. 😀 Wonderful! Poor guy.

I found this beautiful marble candle from Home Sense long time before Christmas. And I patiently waited till January before I took it to use. I kind of like to have something waiting after the holidays. To me, every time after all the Christmas glory packs away, our home feels so naked.

Now I made myself a caramel latte and I was going through and editing some pictures. My next plan for today is to do my nails. I’ve been in a desperate need to do a good old home mani pedi after the holidays.  Although I probably should do some quick email responses before all that.

As you can see or read. Nothing crazy over here. Taking it very easy at the moment. And loving every minute of it!

Alright. I’m tuning out for the weekend!

Happy Friday!

Happy New Year y’all!

Somehow I got a snowball in my right eye on the New Year’s Eve!!!!!! But thank GOD I made it to 2017 without a black eye 😀 Just a swollen eyebrow. Gosh 😀 Anyone else there made it alive into the new year? 😀

So many things can fit in our past year and I can’t believe that we actually did all that! I felt that a little 2016 recap is in order. So I put together my personal highlights of 2016. We were on the road pretty steadily and no wonder when I was packing for our weekend getaway to Vancouver Island in early December I felt like that I’ve been packing a lot this year.

A weekend getaway in Seattle. One of my favourite cities to visit and go shopping. I love the easy going atmosphere there.

First time in Dominican Republic was jaw dropping. Crystal clear waters and white sandy beaches. That place was so gorgeous and I can’t believe that we were actually there now that I’m looking at these pictures.

Soon after our Dominican trip we finally took the bull by the horns and got ourselves kayaks! One of the best purchases in 2016.

Maui. Oh Maui. Not our first time there but it was a time to revisit although we didn’t plan to go there at all. It just happened in its own weird way. We had so much fun that we are planning our trip back to Hawaii now!

This is one of my favourite summer moments in our neighbourhood. We got a lot of rain during the summer and every place was blooming. So beautiful!

We hiked beautiful Joffre Lakes in the late summer and I wanna do it again this year!

No summer without a trip to the Okanagan Valley <3 We celebrated my birthday there and soon after this my hubby surprised me with a helicopter ride around our “backyard”  and that was insane. 😀

This fall we got to go to NEW YORK! That was something else! That place was so huge that I’m still processing the trip to this day 😀 Can’t wait to go back though!

Last but definitely not least. Long weekend in Ucluelet. I know I have many favourite places 😀 especially highlighted in this post. But one thing is for sure that this place has something that I cannot explain no matter how much I try. You have to experience it for yourself.

Would love to hear your highlights of 2016? And have you started planning 2017 already?
