Easter table

Hi there! Are you all set up for the Easter weekend? I’m starting to get there 🙂 And here’s our Easter table setting that I promised earlier this week. What I love about North American Easter is that the Easter is celebrated with pastel colours. And I didn’t really learn to love decorating Easter until I moved here. Easter used to be always something that I didn’t give that much thought decor vice. But I love all the pastel coloured eggs and beautiful pink and white spring blooms outside 🙂 Bright yellow (absolutely nothing wrong with that) but it was never really my thing 😀

Bunny napkins made a return this year. I made these bunny napkins a couple years ago for Easter themed brunch, see it here. They are just so cute and a funny detail to add to the table setting.  Fresh tulips and of course no Easter without chocolate eggs 🙂 I fell in love with these pink glass Easter egg jars that I spotted in Pier 1 and I had to get a couple of them home with me! Also the little lamb is from there too!

With these vibes I’m wishing you a wonderful weekend!

Happy Easter!

I Am Thankful For…

Now that it’s Thanksgiving I want to go over a couple things that I’m thankful for every day. I always go through my list in my early morning hikes. Those early bird walks are more of a morning prayer and meditation than a exercise for me.

I start my day by thanking that it’s a new day rain or shine, both days are pretty in their own way.

I’m thankful for my small loving and full of adventures family here, and for my family over seas. <3

I am thankful for my closest friends. I’m not a crazy social person, I’m more of a loner – to a point 😀 I do like to socialize but most of the time I enjoy peace and quiet and I’m totally fine if it is just 3 of us at home on Friday nights. But I’m truly thankful for these couple of friends that really get me. I only need to say the smallest thing and they totally know what I’m talking about and where I’m coming from.

I am thankful that I’m healthy and happy. Some days, like everyone else, I feel like I have to look a little harder for the good things, but most part everything is just fine! When I have hard time with something, I start to break out my surroundings to find tiny little pieces to be thankful of. Thank you that I can sit in this chair, thank you that it’s peaceful around me, to all the way being thankful that I have roof over my head. It shifts my mood when I change my attitude and when I start focusing my thoughts on better things. I’ve come through a thing or two and I’m still here standing and able to smile, so simply, thank you!

We have a lot to be thankful for!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Weekend Finds

posted in: Entertaining, Shopping | 6

Last weekend I made a couple of “killer” finds for my entertaining supplies! For so long I’ve been looking for the right champagne / wine cooler and I was so happy to find this big one from Urban Barn! It was on sale for $29 !!!!!!! (normally $59) All the bigger coolers that I’ve been seeing have been on the pricier side. So, I think this is a small personal win for me, waiting patiently the right one to come along 😉 haha ..

Other little find is this coffee jar, Urban Barn as well. I have to make a coffee tag for it! It didn’t come with it but there’s a place for it. You won’t necessarily realize right away that it’s missing. I didn’t until I brought it home x) But I kind of like it this way too.

I also found a beverage dispenser at Home Sense (I tested it on the weekend and already posted a picture on Instagram, see it HERE)

I was beyond happy about all my finds. I always find my “treasures” when I least expect it!!! Usually when I go look for certain things I don’t find anything! It can be very frustrating from time to time..  Do you have the same problem? 😀

Now the only thing that is missing is the bar cart !!!

Enjoy Your Day!

XOXO

Party time excellent !!!

I didn’t have too much time to be fully prepared so I fixed up some sandwiches, the cake and cookies are from the store, and some candy to the mix 🙂  I haven’t had a chance to bake anything lately and now that the weather is way warmer I don’t feel like heating up the house with the oven! But I probably should start stocking up my freezer with home baked goods so I would be more prepared the next time 🙂

XOXO
